 On November 12, the Dea Orh Gallery will open our upcoming exhibition of paintings by the acclaimed Montenegrin painter, Vojo Stanic. It is our pleasure to announce that in attendance will be Emir Kusturica, the internationally acclaimed Serbian film director. Kusterica has been a long time fan, friend and supporter of Vojo Stanic, and is currently producing a documentary about the artist’s life and body of work. Mr. Kusturica has said about the artist: “Vojo’s paintings find a lasting place in our memory; they remain lodged in our consciousness. Somehow they entice us to be happy, to feel free, to laugh. But we also sense a hidden, secret dimension, a dimension that possesses existential significance.”
